As this technology is gaining a lot of significance, its applications are increasing tremendously. However, as for today, the two major applications of AI in the healthcare sector include:

1. Data related application

It is not a hidden fact that the data generated by the healthcare industry is huge. The future of healthcare industries holds more amount of data being generated. Managing these databases by using the current IT systems are becoming more challenging day-by-day. Thus, artificial technology which is one of the most advanced technology could find a great application in data management.

The techniques of artificial intelligence could also be used to track down cyber attacks. Apart from that, it could also find a great application in genome sequencing due to its excellent performance in data mining.

2. Disease-related application

It could not only be used as an essential tool for determining the presence of a disorder but could also be used to detect clinical conditions which could occur in the future.
Apart from that, AI has aimed at improving the lives of patients through developing applications such as a virtual nurse, chatbots, etc. A chatbot is an application designed to recognize diseases by monitoring a person's pattern of speech. However, the applications like Virtual Nurse could help patients to schedule their prescribed medicines, follow up the doctor's appointment as well as seek medical assistance regarding a symptom. However, doctors advice should be considered after considering the advice based on AI.

AI-based technology could prove to be a great tool in prognosis for a number of diseases in the future. This may be due to the fact that could be used to track down symptoms without actually dealing with a medical expert.

The concept of artificial intelligence is novel in healthcare sectors. Therefore, its disadvantages are not well-known. Also, in order to develop healthcare related tools, there is a lot more to be added in the applications of the AI. Apart from that, tools that utilize artificial intelligence need to learn data before managing and interpreting it.

Biotechnology: A Boon or a Bane

The techniques used to utilize living organisms for the benefit of humans forms the basis of biotechnology. One of the most important question that comes to one's mind while they come to know about biotechnology is that whether it is actually beneficial for us or is it just something which has short term benefits with long term ill effects?

The techniques of biotechnology are as old as 6000 years when the ancient people used fermentation to produce food products. The modern biotechnology is quite a new field with having it's roots around 1971 and therefore it is quite essential to know the pros and cons of it.

Biotechnology: A boon The usefulness of microbes has proved to be a boon in pharmaceutical, agricultural and food processing industries.

Biotechnology has not only helped to modify the agricultural crops for increasing their nutritional aspects but has also increased their yields. Thus, biotechnology has proved to be a boon for the farmers. Genetically modified insectic…

6 Reasons to Study Biotechnology

Biotechnology has been a subject of discussion in the past few decades due to its uniqueness as well as its significance. Many people tend to like it as a subject because it has a lot interesting as well as exciting stuffs. The following are the list of reasons why studying biotechnology is cooler than you think it is

1. Research trends From modifying a crop to increase its nutrient value to using a fish as an indicator of pollution. Biotechnology has always been a subject of great interest for a lots of biology lovers as well as general population. As the field of biotechnology is growing, the research trends are just getting cooler. Research trends in biotechnology are just one of the very interesting topics one can discuss for hours.

2. Chemical reactions The chemical reactions used in the assays to analyse biomolecules gives out wonderful colours. The feeling you get when you generate colours by adding the colouring reagents is just amazing. The reactions while studying biotechno…

5 Scopes of Biotechnologists

The advancements in the field of biotechnology has increased it's scope tremendously. The most common question which comes to our mind is that what are the fields in which someone who has done biotechnology can work viz. applications of biotechnology in daily lives.

Here are some of the fields in which biotechnologists can find their way to success.
1. Pharmaceutical industry The biotechnologists have a great knowledge about the maintenance and operation of various API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) plants. The API plant is basically process of growing microbes in order to produce certain antibiotics like penicillin. Thus, they have a great scope in pharmaceutical industries. A biotechnologist also has a lot of knowledge about the downstream processing of a particular API. 2. Agricultural sector Genetically modified (GM) crops are gaining its significance in agricultural sector. The modification of a crop is done in order to improve the nutritional aspect as well as the yield…
